No wonder, spring is here. Older stags start shedding their antlers in late February, the younger leave it until March. Interesting – is the older stag ashamed of having his loss of antlers seen by the younger brethren? All the same, his behaviour was very confident. Out of curiosity I counted how many carrots he ate in a row during the night – about forty ….
 
Shoulder height of a stag can be up to one and a half meters for the largest specimens and weight about a quarter of a ton. The weight of large deer cows stays at 150 kilos. Gorgeous animals.
