Hop in your time machine and travel back to 2010. Iconic television shows, movies, and toys came out this year, but one of the best things to come out of 2010 was a children’s book. The Monster Who Ate My Peas by Danny Schnitzlein was released in 2010 and has been a staple in homes ever since. The quirky story comes to life on stage at the Wharton Center on January 31. It is a show the whole family will enjoy; you don’t want to miss out! Now check out this list of 10 things you may have forgotten from 2010!

2. The Apple iPad

Yes, the Apple iPad was released six years ago. Apple revolutionized the tablet market and have been leaders in creating the newest tablet technology ever since.

3. PaperJamz

This toy was all of the rage back in 2010. The paper thin instruments made any kid feel like a rockstar. With tons of styles of guitars and drums, kids and their friends could form the ultimate rock band.

4. XBOX Kinect

Move over Wii, you’re not the only motion activated video game console anymore! Microsoft and Sony came out with motion sense consoles this year, Kinect and PlayStation Move. Gone are the days are sitting around for hours playing your favorite game, now you can become a part of the game with your own body.

5. Justin Bieber dolls

I remember having the Bieber Fever back in 2010, and the Justin Bieber dolls were one of the top toys on every girl’s Christmas list this year. Six years later and he’s making a comeback, I wonder if we’ll see a resurgence of Justin Bieber dolls this year?

6. Toy Story 3

The end of an era. Toy Story released what they announced as the final Toy Story movie; however, there is a fourth in the works to be released in 2018. Andy went off to college and his toys went on a journey to Sunnyside Day Care where they faced danger in the form of a teddy bear. What will Pixar have Woody and Buzz do next?

7. Tik tok by Ke$ha

Ke$ha’s debut single took the world by storm and rightfully claimed the number one spot on the Billboard Top 100 chart for 2010. Ke$ha went on to have a bunch more top 10 hits.

8. Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins

The conclusion of The Hunger Games series was released this year. The final installment of the film adaptation was released in November. What did you think of the ending? Are you Team Peeta or Team Gale?

9. How to Train your Dragon

This Academy Award nominated DreamWorks film was a box office hit in 2010. The film is the second highest-grossing animated film for DreamWorks behind the Shrek movies. Adults and children alike went to see this movie and loved it. Which dragon was your favorite in this film?

10. Pretty Little Liars

This ABC Family drama mystery-thriller premiered in 2010. Aria, Hannah, Emily and Spencer were the original girl squad (sorry Taylor Swift) that everyone wanted to be in. Six years later and the show has revealed who ‘A’ is, but the drama is still unfolding.
