This cable works perfectly to go from an Apogee Jam Plus (Jam+) to an iPhone. It’s short and kind of expensive, but the original Apogee cable was short too I guess, and this was way cheaper than Apogee’s only available way too long (2 meters!) and expensive replacement cable.

This same cable should work for Apogee MiC Plus, HypeMiC, Jam Plus, and Jam X.

These cables are way harder to find than I thought they’d be and I’m just glad to have found something that works for a price that doesn’t seem too ridiculous.

So to my surprise I find out this cable works like the Apple camera dongle. I was looking for a slim cable to connect my FX30 via micro usb to my iPhone’s lighting port to use the Monitor+ App to use my phone as a cinema camera monitor. Apparently you can wire directly from camera to iPhone but you need Apples camera adapter dongle to do that. As you can see from the pictures the white cable is Apples $30 dongle connected to a usb A to micro usb cable. Well I didnt like the white color and the fat adapter and the extra cable to plug into. I need everything compact and short. Well this Meenova cable is super slim and it amazingly works out of all the cables I tried. Seller should advertise it as a camera to ios dongle instead because it works great. The only thing is its too short and it wont reach to connect to my phone unfortunately. I al still keeping it and I will be ordering the 1 foot one which is too long for my needs but batter than using an adapter extension with the shorter one. I wish the manufacturer made the exact same cable but right angled on both ends to the cable doesn't stick out when holding my cinema camera. They could be selling this to Sony camera owners. I’ve tried looking everywhere for a short cable supporting ios camera connection with 90 degree right angle plugs and no one sells anything like that.

This worked with my Fiio X7 MkII and sounded beautiful for about two minutes, then the connection between the iphone and the dac would cut in and out and finally stop altogether. I also tested with an ipad with the same results. It could be my Fiio unit is messed up, but I am able to use it as a DAC with my computer with no issues. If it had worked, I would definitely be praising the cable--it sounded amazing while it lasted and it seems to be very sturdy and durable.

Breaks too easily

I’ve had two of these cables fail and another was dead on arrival. This is one of the few cables that can connect the Chord Mojo headphone amp to an iPhone, but it is too fragile. Some part of the wire becomes intermittent and ultimately stops working. Additionally, the end that connect to the iPhone gets quite warm which would indicate there are some tiny electronics inside. Other cables I used don’t have that issue.

I’m tired of buying this cable and having it fail too early. I’m using a different cable now.

I’m using this cable with a FIIO Q2 mkii. It works just fine and sounds great streaming through Tidal but… it isn’t OTG! It’s definitely apple certified but unfortunately the cable charges my dac as I use it which means it was falsely advertised. It is not OTG but it will work for FIIO devices. You’ll just have to deal with draining your phones battery.
