In Ubuntu 8.04 at first I was able to playback sound okay when using firefox browser but no sound when using Rhythmbox Music Player. I have done a test on Speed Preferences - soundcard S17012 detected,so I set all sections to that and test played some sound. 7. juuni 2010 - I managed to turn ACPI off in the BIOS - but this just gives me an unbootable machine with a continuous error: serial8250: too much work for irq11 proc/irq/11 contains these empty folders; ehci_hcd:usb1 ohci_hcd:usb2 SiS S17012 Anyone any ideas?
