New manager named at Tony's Pizza Events Center

Susan Trafton, formerly director of sales and marketing at Tony's Pizza Events Center, has been named the facility's general manager by parent company Spectra by Comcast Spectacor.

As general manager, Trafton will be responsible for all facility operations and bookings, as well as overseeing marketing, public relations, corporate partnerships, event management, ticketing operations and food and beverage services.

As director of sales and marketing, Trafton aided former GM Ron Rideout in successfully securing a $1.2 million, 15-year contract with Schwan's Shared Services/Tony's Pizza for naming rights of the facility last year and has been actively involved in selecting strategic content for events both in the facility's arena and Heritage Hall. She also oversaw a mobile friendly website rebuild and increased building partnerships by more than 116 percent since 2016.

Trafton attended Kansas Wesleyan University and previously was promotions and marketing director at Cumulus Broadcasting in Topeka and at Alpha Media and Salina Media Group in Salina.
