Laughter As Huge Male Cane Corso Unimpressed With Lively Litter Of Puppies

A social media video of an adult male cane corso looking unimpressed while surrounded by a lively litter of puppies has left the internet in hysterics. The viral video, which has been viewed more than 1 million times since it was first shared to TikTok on October 15, captured the unamused dog observing the energetic puppies around him while making it very clear that he wouldn't be playing with them.

The adult cane corso was then filmed lunging towards the puppies to try and keep them at bay and assert his dominance while still wary of them. In contrast, another adult cane corso, who appears to be the mom of the litter, can be seen playing with and fussing over the large group of pups.

The video's creator had shared under the post that the unimpressed cane corso was their own pet, while the pups are pure-bred Dogue de Bordeauxs, a French mastiff breed.

The Italian mastiff breed has an alert and assertive nature, so they are usually kept as guard dogs. By this logic, it makes sense that the cane corso in the TikTok post was more interested in observing and keeping a steady eye on his surroundings than playing with the litter.

The American Kennel Club describes the breed, whose lineage goes back to ancient Roman times, as being a "peerless protector." The pet registry says "corsi are at a glance intimidating creatures. Their imposing appearance is their first line of defense against intruders."

"Corsi are intelligent, loyal, eager to please, versatile, and intensely loyal to their humans, but are also assertive and willful, and can end up owning an unwitting owner," the AKC adds. Thanks to their alert nature, corsi require a lot of exercise and stimulation and are most suited to active households.
