Sir Ken Robinson and Montessori

We have to rethink the fundamental principles on which we are educating our children.
— Sir Ken Robinson

Sir Ken Robinson, a great defender of children around the world — who gave one of the most popular TED Talks in the history of TED — was a supporter of Montessori:

“I think it’s important to say that we know what the solutions look like [in education]. This isn’t like curing cancer, where we just don’t know and we’re thrashing around. There are great schools everywhere that are achieving high results. If you want just one example, the Montessori system.”*

RIP Sir Ken Robinson,
who died at age 70 on August 21, 2020.
