Smena-8M (м-8), film scale-focus camera
with stationary Triplet T-43 lens, 82760083, 35 mm
Leningrad Optical Mechanical Unity (LOMO), Leningrad, USSR

Sold as not working - for repair or parts. Shutter lever is absent, so shutter cannot be cocked. Lens does not have some screwbolts and can be screwed out from the camera. Cold shoe is absent. Lens is clear and does not have any scratches or fungus. Body has signs of age and use. Take-up spools are not included.

Here I offer legendary USSR scale-focus camera "Smena-8m". It is ideal for lomography and the most popular camera in the world (totally 21.041.191 pieces were made and that is the world record). It was produced by LOMO since 1970 till 1995.

It differs from the previous model "Smena-8" with a new body and with possibility for focus setting with symbol scale.

"Scale-focused" means that you set the distance with the symbol scale "portrait - group portrait - full-body shot - scenery" (though it has marking in meters). The viewfinder is used to value the frames of future photo, not for the focusing.

Camera has a central shutter after the lens. Possible shutter speeds are 1/15, 1/30, 1/60, 1/125, 1/250 and B.

Camera has a non-removable lens T-43, 4/40 with multi-layered antireflection coating.
Shutter cocking and rewind are not united and done separately, so multiple exposure is possible.

Camera has a cold shoe, synchrocontact for flash and tripod socket 1/4". Release button has a carving for release cable.
In mid 90-s it was replaced by "Smena-35" in a new body with improved viewfinder.

Its price in USSR was only 15 Soviet Roubles (with average salary about 120 Soviet Roubles), so everyone could afford it.
