Your guide is waiting for you in the parking lot next to the cliff in St. Martin en Vercors. The first morning will be dedicated to getting to know each other but also to set up the portaledge. Afterward, you'll descend on long rappels to the base of a via corda.
Max or Caro will give you a briefing on your rock climbing technique, belaying, and safety, and go over other rope maneuvers. You can ask any questions you may have. Afterward, you'll have your meal that you brought with you.
In the afternoon, we elevate ourselves.
After enjoying a good meal, let's get started with a gentle approach on the Via Corda
The Via Corda is somewhat similar in principle to the Via Ferrata, minus the cable. Your instructor encourages you to use the contours of the rock to make your way across the surface. It's a practice that falls between hiking and climbing, an excellent way to experience both the void and the verticality.
This via corda is not difficult, suitable for all levels and, above all, very impressive. You progress as a "roped party" and your guide adapts to your level and that of your teammates.

An unusual night!
After this via corda afternoon sess', you settle into your portaledge.
A magnificent view of the mountain range unfolds before you, perfect for enjoying a sunset from up high and having your dinner.
You fall asleep with your head in the stars in your MILLET sleeping bag.
Here's a handy tip: if you feel the call of nature, you can climb out from the top on a rope climb 😉

Morning, a surprising awakening
You wake up slowly and take advantage of the morning freshness to
enjoy the scenery. While folding your portaledge at the same time, you embark on your morning feast with a breathtaking backdrop amidst the wilderness. Then you hit the road towards the village of Chapelle en Vercors for a fresh crag climbing destination.
In the afternoon, discover single-pitch climbing
Max or Caro gives you a quick briefing on cliff climbing techniques, and off you go, ascending the walls of the Cime du Mas – the perfect spot to explore or advance your skills (this might change depending on the group's level). After this discovery-filled afternoon, around 6:00 PM, you bid farewell to your teammates and head back home with impressive memories of Vercors.
