The foliage of Filipendula Red Umbrellas is darkest green in spring and will lighten slightly as the plant flowers. The leaves have a quilted, textured look due to the prominent veining. Filipendula General Information

Filipendula are consistent performers, interesting in both leaf and flower. Begins blooming in June and flowers over a long period. Idaho has restricted all potted plant material from being shipped into Idaho at this time.

Filipendula Plant Care

Cut back dead tops in fall or spring. Divide in spring or fall as often as needed. Prefers a moist soil, but will tolerate quite a bit of dryness. Best to provide moisture in extended dry spells.
