Medicinal actions: Astringent, uterine tonic, facilitates parturition
Medicinal use: Raspberry has been used to facilitate childbirth. The plant exerts paradoxical actions of uterine relaxation and tonification. Rubus ideas can reduce post-partum hemorrhage, heavy menses, and after pains of labor.
Pharmacy: Infusion: 2 tsp/ 1 cup water; 1-2 cups TID. Fluid extract (1:1, 25%), 5 ml TID.
