Maple Leaf Quilt-Along, Step 4

Here are a few that Helen has made — I love her colors so far!
Here’s one bunch of mine so far. I’ve made a few more since these, but don’t have photos yet. I’m too slow to get in my 30 per week that I wanted to. But I’m not giving up!
I’m back today with another possible layout for these little leaves (ok, two layouts). I said last week that the first layout would probably require the most leaves, but I was wrong — this next one takes a LOT of leaves, but is very impressive!
And there’s a second option with the leaves set into blocks like this, with alternating plain blocks:

Again, there are charts for different sizes, and the charts tell you how many leaves to make, and the other pieces you need to cut to go along with them.
I’m not including yardage amounts with any of these layouts, because I’m encouraging you to do scrappy, and the size and layout are completely up to you, so you can just keep adding in scraps as necessary — that’s what I’m doing with mine.
And once again, I’m pushing the give-away back one more week. I WILL be doing it, I just haven’t actually acquired the give-away prize yet, but I plan to do that this week, so we’ll have the give-away next Monday instead (something to keep looking forward to, right?).
So keep making leaves, and I’ll be back next Monday with another layout option!
I have 50 so far. I still don’t know what I will do with them. Love the layout ideas. I think I will take a break from them, for a few days and then go after them again! I would post a picture, but so far I can’t figure out how to get a pic in a comment.

What fun layouts! That is for sure a lot of leaves I don’t think I will complete that many leaves!
Right now I have eight little leaves. Am definitely thinking pillow, not quilt, not wall hanging!!
