Description
Forty-two blocks of sixteen yo-yos each form this bedcovering. A yo-yo is formed by hand-stitching around the perimeter of a cloth circle, then drawing the thread to form a pouch. The pouches are flattened into two-inch circles and tacked (tied) to the backing material. There is no batting layer.

Lillian Edith Graham Reed (1923-2006) grew up in the Sowers Mill Dam section of the county and married Ole Peyton Reed in 1941. The Reeds combined their musical talents and love for God by performing as the “Singing Reeds” during worship services and on WGFC Radio.
