This 1996 Volkswagen Polo is one of approximately 3,800 multi-color examples produced, and it was imported from the United Kingdom to the United States in April 2023. The is finished in green with blue, red, and yellow panels, and power is provided by a 1.4L inline-four linked with a five-speed manual transaxle. Features include 14″ alloy wheels, Harlequin-themed patterned cloth upholstery, a Sony cassette stereo, and power windows. Work performed under current ownership is said to have involved overhauling the brakes and the suspension. This right-hand-drive Polo indicates 22k miles and is now offered with headlight covers, touch-up paint, import documents, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Virginia title in the seller’s name.
The unibody elements on this example left the factory finished in Pistachio Green; the front bumper, front doors, side mirrors, and rear hatch are Chagall Blue; the hood, rear doors, and rear bumper are Flash Red; and the front fenders and fascia are Ginster Yellow. The seller notes evidence of paintwork on the roof, quarter panels, and bumper covers. Rust is visible on the right-side rocker panel and rear door.
Five-spoke 14″ alloy wheels are wrapped in 185/55 Uniroyal RainSport tires showing 2019 production codes. Per the seller, the suspension and the brakes have been overhauled with the following replacement components:

- Outer tie-rod ends
- Dampers
- Front brake rotors, calipers, and pads
- Brake lines
- Front subframe
- Control arm bushings
- Rear beam axle and bushings
- Rear drums
The seats are upholstered in gray fabric with Harlequin-themed multi-color patterned centers. Features include a Sony cassette stereo, power windows, and black carpeted floor mats with green piping. The seller notes that the left-front window does not retract fully, and photos show a crack in the center-stack bezel.
The airbag steering wheel features a blue leather-wrapped rim and fronts a 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The digital odometer indicates 22k miles.
The 1.4L inline-four produced 100 horsepower when new. Work performed in January 2023 is said to have included replacing the distributor, ignition coil, and battery as well as changing the oil. The seller states that the engine hesitates when cold.
Power is delivered to the front wheels via a five-speed manual transaxle. Corrosion is visible on various underbody components, and additional photos of the underside are presented in the gallery below.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in Virginia since the first entry in March 2023.
