Sculptor and teacher, who did a foundation course at Central St Martins, 1988–9, graduating in fine art from Ruskin School of Drawing & Fine Art, Oxford, 1989–92. Her awards included Casberd Scholarship, St John’s College, and Vivien Leigh Prize, Ashmolean Museum, both in Oxford, 1992; Innovative Projects Award, English Nature, 1993; and funding from Southern Arts and Relaciones Exteriores to work with popular artists in Mexico, with a British Council grant to show there, 1994. She took part in many sculpture workshops in Britain; projects overseas; and held residencies including West End Art Centre, Aldershot, and London Ecology Centre, both 1993; Salisbury Arts Centre, 1994; Hillier’s Arboretum, Hampshire, 1995; and Kites and Tunnels, Mary Hare School for the Deaf, Berkshire, 1996.
